2021, exhibition. Studio im Hochhaus, Berlin Lichtenberg.
In collaboration with Annette Kisling and Jens Franke.
In 2016 we had the opportunity to meet Balkrishna Doshi and talk to him about his work and the city of Ahmedabad. This conversation forms the starting point of the exhibition “Doshi Doshi Doshi”. As part of our research project, film recordings and photographs of the following buildings from Ahmedabad by Balkrishna Doshi are shown in the exhibition: Institute of Indology (1962), Central Bank of India (1967), Premabhai Hall (1972), LIC Housing (1976) and Sangath (1981).
The photographic series by Annette Kisling enters into dialogue in the exhibition with the film and photographic works of Jens Franke and Leonard Wertgen, the serially arranged, section-like images of the interior of the IIM in Bangalore are juxtaposed with the spacious exterior shots of Projects within the city of Ahmedabad.
Based on ongoing research in Ahmedabad in collaboration with Marius Helten, Björn Martenson and Niklas Fanelsa.
